Tomorrow is the most important election of my lifetime. Again. As unbelievable as it is, every election for the past thirty or forty years have been the most important of my lifetime, so as the progression increased from election cycle to election cycle, we were bound to eventually reach the point where we now find ourselves….The most important election of our lifetime. That’s what they tell me anyway, and I always believe them. Election cycles come and go, and I agonize over every close race, watching them explain why this race, or that race, broke this way or that. Deep into the night, I stayed up until I had an answer…. Did we win? Did we hold the house? The senate? Those were the days, back then when I was filled with trust and certainty, and hope. And then they took trust away.
Time to make your point Wayne….
Here’s my point; If this election was really so damn important, why didn’t the senate vote on The Save America Act? I’m not asking why it didn’t pass. I want to know why the most important election of my lifetime wasn’t worth making the most secure election of my lifetime as well.
So, in closing, let me say that God is in control but that in no way releases me from my responsibility, or you either. Go vote tomorrow like your grandchildren’s future depends on the outcome, because it does, and don’t expect to know the outcome for days, because that the way we do it now.
God bless our Republic.
