I want so desperately to transition from political themes into something more spiritual, but if I’m going to be honest with you and myself, no matter how hard I try, right now they both seem to be wrapped so tightly that it’s just not going to happen for me.

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Spiritually, we understand the meaning of this, and I have heard this statement modernized into something like this….

Show me your checkbook and I’ll show you where your heart is.

I like Jesus’s teaching style better. I ask a simple question here, and try and answer this in a way that doesn’t sound like right versus left, but rather right versus wrong. Do you think that democrats demonstrated where their heart was last night? Our president did not divide our country last night, he illustrates the existing divisions with a simple question….

Is the first duty of the American government to protect American citizens?

Democrats don’t love America. They are not patriotic. I don’t think that they particularly care for capitalism either. They had an opportunity to celebrate Americans in Trump’s first State of the Union, but they couldn’t do it. They were given a chance to demonstrate that they were for representing and protecting these Americans, but they couldn’t do that either. Where are their treasures. I can see where their treasures are not, but where are they? Look to Minneapolis for the answer. Ask where they stand on every issue and you will know where their heart is. Their heart is in chaos, hate and division, and they are very invested in these things. Their hate for one man is as great as our love for individualism. Don’t misunderstand me however, they love diversity, as long as you are just like them.

Wow, not a whole lot of spirituality here, to my shame I think, but show me where I’m wrong, if you can.
