The question has come up several times recently on various social media platforms that goes something like this….

Would Jesus be a republican or a democrat?

I immediately go straight to the comments. Those comments range anywhere from Jesus wouldn’t vote for baby killers and satan worshippers to Jesus loved the downtrodden and was against authority. By far the best comment was very short and straightforward….

Jesus would be flipping both their tables.

My opinion.

In your heart you know that this is right. Jesus had no problem pointing out liars and hypocrites. He wouldn’t be yelling at police, blowing whistles in their faces, hiding violent criminals and setting cities on fire. He wouldn’t be looting and he wouldn’t be backing a political party that condoned things like that either. Jesus would have seen most of the republicans as hypocrites who make a show in public while becoming someone completely different when out of public view. In short, I very much doubt that the Son of God would be voting for the lesser of two evils. He came here to provide himself a perfect sacrifice, not to help a politician get elected to office.

My question is slightly different. My question is this….

Who would the god of this world vote for?
