Almost all of my family lived in Tennessee in 2020, most lived in Knoxville. We put our little cabin and small farm up for sale and were moving. The choice of where to was a difficult one and had been narrowed to Knoxville or somewhere south of Sarasota. If we chose Knoxville, we would be among family, and if we chose SW Florida, we would be there alone. Literally our two choices were mountains and family or sunshine and beaches. We chose sunshine and beaches. Between our visits to Knoxville and our families visits to Florida, we see each other almost as much as we did when we all lived in the same city. Part of our family actually left Knoxville and currently live maybe two miles from us, and while some may wonder why we would ever choose isolation over family, we consider it chasing a dream. A dream we openly share with our loved ones at their convenience. Paradise…. Home.
