I don’t follow anyone here on earth, and I hope that never changes. I try to follow the Creator of the Universe, and His Son, and if I am honest, I do that badly. There are people out there that I admire, but that doesn’t mean that I am taking direction from them. I come to my own conclusions and make my own decisions, and you should do the same. I’m hearing some folks on my side speak out against boycotts and claiming that it doesn’t work, and here’s my opinion….

Mind your own business.

For me personally, I don’t boycott. I excommunicate. Once you as a company or corporation go out of your way to attack me or my beliefs, you cease to exist in my world. It is not possible to redeem yourself. A few examples of excommunication include Levi’s, Dick’s, Target and Starbucks. The list is far too long to list here, and I don’t have any illusions that I am single handedly bringing anyone to their knees. My goal is a simple one…. Don’t reward bad behavior.

I have a right to spend my money as I see fit, and a responsibility to not support things I believe to be wrong. Cracker Barrel has been dead to me for a while, but today is yet another reminder that I made a sound decision. With discretionary spending of our middle class being what it is during these trying times, I wonder who the next company will be to step forward for excommunication.
