There was something that we were taught as children, and I believed it for far too long.
Winners never cheat and cheaters never win. That was a lie. What we should have been taught is that the world is full of people who have no moral compass, and they feed on people who think stupid shit like cheaters never win. They always win. They also excel in politics. Honest folks running for political office don’t stand much of a chance. Truth is that they don’t stand any chance at all. And that means that most everyone who have been in office for any length of time is someone who is dishonest and willing to do pretty much anything to stay there or climb higher in a rigged system.
We can argue among ourselves and throw insults back and forth, but every now and then the veil falls away, and just for a moment everything you believe is validated. Thank you Kari Lake. The one thing that dishonest people who are in powerful positions are frightened of is someone with integrity that can’t be bought. A wild card in a stacked deck. So maybe we are so far gone that we can’t stop the cheaters anymore, but it is very satisfying having undisputed evidence to shove back at them and shine a spotlight on those that love the shadows.
