In a month where world events stand in the background, we are all in the shadow of a word with a bad reputation. Rightly so, if we allow ourselves to be honest, but our world doesn’t allow honesty right now, so much like everything in today’s society, pick a side and prepare for a fight to the death rather than allow for truth. Pride. Whenever you attach yourself to anything with pride, there is a reckoning coming. Our Creator doesn’t care for pride, and He has a lot to say about it. A lot. He hates it. Makes perfect sense why the homosexual community would use it. He hates that too. And they hate Him right back, and there’s the dividing line. Admit your sinfulness, or make your sinfulness righteous. Pride. I’m not on the popular side of this issue, and those of us who follow our Creator seldom are. It would be a lot easier to follow the world on things such as this, but my heart won’t allow it. Dividing line. I have my own sins so I won’t start casting stones, but I’m also not going to allow myself to be stoned by those on the other side of the dividing line either. For now the wheat and the chaff will coexist even though the chaff desperately want to discard the wheat. The chaff will never mourn for the wheat, but we know, and we will mourn.
