I’ve heard this phrase for my entire life, but never really pondered it’s meaning. I’m sixty three, and until recently, never really understood what having your cake and eating it too meant. If you eat your cake, you obviously will no longer have your cake! Wow… that’s profound. I may have veered off course already!  So the way I see it, the only way the world can go anywhere in a Hand basket, is if somebody is taking us….. I may be overthinking this whole thing, so, here we go.

1. One political party wants to get rid of the police.
2. The biggest racists in this country are the ones screaming racism.
3. Nobody is willing to work their ass off to get ahead anymore.
4. Over half our population just can’t be bothered to stand in line to vote.
5. Sacrifice has become a four letter word.
6. Every solution seems to involve printing money.
7. The chasm between us perpetually widens.
8. Our political party leaders hate each others ideology.
9. Social media gives the uninformed access to like minded uninformed.
10. We no longer value freedom.
