This is from the Obama years, just before the 2016 election. Pretty dark time, but I honestly think that election prevented our country from becoming the world’s newest socialist utopia…. temporarily.

Very fitting to remember, as we prepare for what will be a politically motivated impeachment fiasco, raining down damnation on liberals during this new presidential election cycle.

It’s gonna be a bumpy ride!

Sometimes conservatives fear what they are as much as they fear liberalism and I don’t understand it.Then to be accepted by the very ones who want you gone, you walk around with your head down hoping some day they will love you and accept you for what you are. You move through life like Flagellants, constantly punishing yourself in the hope that someday these ungrateful smug leaders of the party you put in power will welcome you home. You cannot make yourself stronger by watering yourself down. Be who you are. Find yourself a new home. The GOP does not want you. They know they can not win without you and all your existence does is point out the fact that they have more in common with the other party than you. So stop acting like a battered wife and walk away. Our country has lost its will to be free. We no longer have leaders who lead. Stand or fall but please don’t become the very thing you despise. I will never again hold my nose and vote for the enemy. Moderate Democrats, where are you? Remove the labels and ask yourself the hard questions that must be answered. Does honesty matter anymore? Does it matter all of the time or some of the time? Remove the R’s and the D’s from these candidates. Remove the names. Strip them down to what they are and look at them. Can you see the corruption and greed? Will you say honestly to yourself that it does not matter? If the answer is yes then wait for the pendulum. It will shift again. It always does. If the answer is no, how will you come to terms with this one nagging thing you know is true? They lie and then lie about lying. They don’t worry about being caught because they don’t fear consequences. They treat you like fools, because they know you will never leave them. You are suffering from battered voter syndrome and keep thinking someday things will get better. You can’t accept the truth. They promise you exactly the same thing every election cycle and you never catch on. The poor are growing and the middle class is shrinking and you will chase what ever boogie man they sic you on. The new Society failed if it’s intention was to end poverty. If it’s intention was to enslave three generations and grow an endless supply of mindless voters, well then, it did a great job. Americans deserve better than being divided into left and right, rich and poor, black and white. All this division has made us weaker and I think maybe that was the goal. We mostly just want to be left alone don’t we? We want the government out of our lives. We want to keep what is ours and if we want our things redistributed we will do it. We want to trust the men and women we elect to serve us . We want to believe they want to serve us.
We want to believe that they are not evil. My problem after watching decades of decay is that no matter how badly I want to believe these things, I just dont anymore.
