I love video games. Assassin’s Creed has consistently proven to be one of my favorites. Like most RPGs, in the beginning I am stumbling around in a world that overwhelms me, and even though I am ill equipped, the future is filled with excitement. The future is promising, and the world is small. Small means manageable, and that’s good because I’m still learning how to play this game early on. In the process of moving around in this small world, I make my way to synchronization points, which makes my world larger. Larger means more responsibility, and more risk. I become stronger, more confident, and before long, I have synchronized many locations and my world is open and vast. Early on, you learn to play with caution, and this skill serves me well, but this caution is cast aside once I obtain higher levels, and I find myself relying more on power and strength, and less on using good judgment. Life is a lot like Assassin’s Creed.

At some point in every good RPG, interest subsides, always after the main quest, but usually before all the monotonous side quests are completed that are far too easy at higher levels. I think that life can become a lot like that for many folks, and needlessly so, because life’s side quests have always been the most rewarding for me, and my Creator always keeps things exciting! Unlike this game that is fun for awhile, our world is filled with endless points to expand, and continue to grow. May I never grow tired of the excitement of wondering what is just over that hill.
