I remember a time when right and wrong wasn’t political. I also remember a time when you were innocent until you were proven guilty. Tragically, those days are never coming back. How did we get here? I wish I knew.

On the surface, it looks like control of the Supreme Court is at stake. On the surface, it looks like one side is being underhanded and the other side is being insensitive. Most of us just want what we want, depending on the side we are rooting for, and that is just the way it is, except I think much more than the direction of the highest court in the land is at stake. We have fallen.

We have fallen, but that’s not the saddest part. The saddest part is that we don’t know. For my entire life, I have watched morality take a beating from the very ones that are now exercising this new selective morality on a people who have no moral compass. But I was raised better. I know that bearing false witness is a sin. If you don’t believe in a Creator, I don’t suppose you believe in sin either, and that makes it impossible to believe in anything other than a shifting, fluid morality, and that’s the real problem. Ever changing, from generation to generation, with no true north. And this is why we are so easily fooled. We don’t have a foundation to build our beliefs on. We are in a spiritual war, and our enemy has separated us from what we need for victory.

Armor of God

• Belt of truth.
• Breastplate of righteousness.
• Shoes of the gospel.
• Shield of faith.
• Helmet of salvation.
• Sword of the spirit.

This is foolishness now to many, as it was when Paul wrote to the Ephesians, but there it is, for anyone who will hear it.

In the meantime, while we are busy living our lives the best we know how, those controlled by something more sinister are ever plotting, unencumbered by any moral code and determined to win at all cost. We are known by the company we keep.

This is not about right vs left, and never forget this… This is right vs evil.
