We are hanging by a thread.

I think that one of the hardest things anybody can do is to change someone’s thinking. At one time I did not think this way, but the truth has set in. That job is best left to experience. Politicians know this and liberals don’t even bother with folks like me, and why should they, when they have a continuous line of fresh minds that haven’t become jaded? Minds that will believe pretty much anyone except their parents? The fishing is fine there. But that doesn’t mean that they have forgotten us. In fact, they may devote more time to us than any other group that they are trying to influence.

But they can’t convert us….

No they can’t, but what they can do is overwhelm us with endless lies and half truths. If they can control what we hear, they can wear us down, break us down with an endless stream of superficial talking points that our friends and family will use over and over, with no facts to back any of it up. So disillusioned, beaten down and unable to figure out how there can be that many gullible people walking among us, we whisper under our breath “What’s the use,”…. tune out and stay home on election night, and why wouldn’t we? The polls have already determined the winner…. right?

But sometimes a miracle happens and the polls are wrong….  Yep, that ….or ….just maybe they were lying the whole time.

In a completely unrelated thought, for some reason I can’t get a picture of  pastor Benny Hinn smacking some poor soul right in the forehead and watching him fall straight back and bounce off the floor.

Dudes… who’s job was it to catch that faker? And get him off the stage before he comes around.

Whew.

That felt strangely satisfying. I’ll let you draw your own analogy.

Soon we won’t be allowed to think what we can’t say.
