I’m sitting here looking to the east and I’ve never felt more blessed than I do now, looking up the hill, and watching the melting snow, waiting for my pet deer to wander in for their afternoon meal. Nothing specific on my mind today but there are many pieces of things from here and there I am sorting through, trying to make fit in my universe. It has been so cold for the past two weeks, and we’ve been snowed in for most of the time, but today the melt is on and better weather is on the way.
One of my daughters had a bad week, with her car going down and her heat crashing, followed by her water pipes bursting, and all that only gets you second place. Any other week and you’re a lock on the trophy, but not this week. A friend of mine had pipes burst and he only gets honorable mention because this was a bad week for people connected to our family. A very bad week.
And now as we come to a Saturday night, I’m looking back on how the week started. and I can’t help but thank the Creator of the universe, for His mercies, and His grace, and His love for His children who are flawed, because it started with a phone call, Sunday night. One of my nieces had been in an awful car accident and had been Life Flighted to Louisville, with head trauma. Very scary for the family but it looks like my niece will make a full recovery. She was wrapped in a whole lot of prayers this week.
I hope next week is uneventful for everybody.
