I know that it’s time to welcome fall when my little Hometown Fair rolls into town and the Evansville Nut Festival is going on. We had a great time in Evansville last night with friends and family and spent today watching the falling of leaves, aided by on again, off again drizzle and a steady breeze. I think grass cutting is over but I will need to chop the leaves up several times so it’s not quite time to put the mower up yet. I have been running through a check list for the past couple of weeks to prepare for colder weather and I’m almost ready. I’ve had a lot on my mind over the past week and it all kind of come together last night as we were moving from booth to booth. We started the day with some great news from an old friend and finished the night with some very bad news from a friend of our family. It really has been that kind of a week.
I am thankful for my faith, family and friends.
