Well, I had hoped that it was all a misunderstanding but I guess there is no denying that we have lost a great one. Last night as conflicting reports swirled around, I went to Napster and pulled up his hits. The list is staggering. I’ve had all of his albums in one form or another but to just look at all these hits. Where to start? Just push play. I’m listening to This Old Town right now.

I’m going to miss him. What I didn’t realize is that my kids are grieving him too. The same music that he made for me and my generation, he also made for the next generation as well. Facebook is filled with R.I.P.s and I also wish him peace, but in times like these, it’s just more sad news.
