I have wanted a Second Harley for a long time now. I love my Electra Glide but I want something smaller and lighter to knock around on. Something without a fairing that is a little more like the riding I once loved. Don’t misunderstand, I love my Glide but I miss the old style riding. I have narrowed it down to two choices, a Softail or a Street Bob. I am leaning toward the Street Bob but they are both awesome motorcycles.

Well, here it is two days later and I pulled the trigger. I went to my new favorite Harley Dealership with a Street Bob in mind and I ended up getting a Softail Slim, black. It has a name, Blackie. It couldn’t come home with me until I got it fixed. New pipes, a breather and a dyno tune so my neighbors will know when Blackie is coming home. I hope they are as excited as I am!

Well, it’s over a week later and it has rained two out of every three days. The Vance & Hines black Shortshots along with the dyno job is set for an install this Saturday and hopefully I can bring her home. I am seriously thinking that maybe I should have bought a boat instead. Please let the rain stop for a few days.

This is old school wind in your face riding and this 103 engine is incredible. God willing, I am going to wear this baby out in the years to come! One change I am going to make is the heal shift…. its gotta go.
