Don’t you love these posts on Facebook where there is a number or an animal behind a color, or somehow masked? Only one in ten people can spot the image. Or how about those messages that mix numbers with letters and leaves letters out, that tell you how special you are if you are able to read it. Well I spent the first year or so strutting around convinced of my above average intelligence and it’s all because Facebook gave me a false sense of superiority. I was acing every test and like Stuart,” look what I can do”, I wondered how I could make this work for me in the real world.
Some posts even put me in a special club, telling me to just type yes but don’t give it away. Somebody always gives it away and without fail, they get a chewing out for it. I’ve never seen anybody comment,”I’ve been working on that thing for three days, can somebody pm me or give me a hint?”
Facebook has to shoulder some blame here because this is exactly how churches end up with the worse singers you have ever heard doing solos while you look on in horror. So, I guess I’m not special after all but I am above average cause I took a test and only missed one so I still have that.
