Remember when men and women and boys and girls could watch Walter Cronkite every night at 5:30, Monday through Friday and for thirty minutes find out what was going on in America and around the world? Remember that? And if you watched David Brinkley instead, you got almost exactly the same news. These guys were kings in the industry and their integrity was never questioned. What happened?

Remember when Newt Gingrich’s mother got Connie Chunged on CBS? Remember that little gem?

Remember when Dan Rather got kicked off CBS for running a fake news story on George W. Bush’s Air National Guard service? Remember that one?

Candy Crowley bailed Barry out like he was UNC in the first half against Kentucky when Mitt had him on the ropes…. how about them Russians now? ….CNN btw.

CNN just got caught giving debate questions to one of the candidates.

Here is the thing…. this is just to show you that this has been going on a long time, so what happened? More news outlets happened. Everybody is and always has, reported their version of the news. Everybody thinks that their time is unique but I am telling you now, human nature doesn’t change. So when we live in a world where we can’t agree on right and wrong, or what truth is, how do we know what fake is?

Well if I define fake , here is what I get. Imitation, counterfeit, not genuine.

Fake. I just described almost everybody in DC. so I guess we have an epidemic of things that are made to look real but its only purpose is to misrepresent, mislead and confuse. I believe more every day that we are past the point of no return.

So fake news used to be The National Enquirer but not anymore. Now it’s anything you don’t agree with or any source you don’t like. Who out there thinks the russkies tried to influence our election last year? I think they did. I also think they tried to influence every election that we have had for my entire life so if you want to spend the time and money, lets go fishing. and I also think that we do the same thing ourselves. And I also think we have a lot of illegal stuff going on right here when it comes to elections. Why? because human nature does not change.

Now I think I will ponder something else that gives me that feeling you get when somebody drags their fingers across a blackboard. Pretending .
