The title might be inadequate. I’m certain that the title is inadequate. We don’t know who we are anymore. This is going to be a long one, I can feel it churning inside. I have a friend who vented to me about the latest outrage and there is no doubt that there are at least a dozen more who are feeling the same thing. And I have just about as many friends who are feeling the exact opposite and that is the problem that I see looming. All warnings unheeded, with contempt directed toward each other, I wonder how long this can go on. And it’s not just here. I wish it were.
In Scotland, they want to vote again for independence. Last time it was about 60-40 to stay, with most men wanting to leave and most women wanting to stay. The two sides don’t like each other. Great Britain has voted to leave the EU but a good many wanted to stay and they don’t like each other either. If you want to know how Europe actually feels about Muslims, just strike up a conversation with them on Facebook and you will get an ear full.
Here we are, in this luke warm stew, sitting on opposite sides, staring at each other and the liberal radicals are at war with us all. Please know this one thing, they will turn on you as soon as they have put an end to us. And in all honesty, if my side wins, they will turn on me at some point. That is always the way it progresses. That is the way of total government. And still there will be no happiness. Happiness doesn’t come from government. Make a list of all you want and then explain how government will get it for you.
So, what has pissed you off this time Wayne? I would be preaching to the choir or speaking Chinese, so why bother? Here’s why. Most of the rest of the world wants to see us destroyed, and half of you guys are more than willing to help them blow us up. You cannot be happy unless my half is unhappy. Just so you know, I would rather see you unhappy. You are at war with us and so far, we are just laughing at you. That wont last forever.
The you’s of the world and the me’s never cause much trouble. We are too busy working or taking care of our families and our sides could be brought together but our leaders don’t want us together. Most of the left’s arguments come down to greed and how to take money from the wealthy, which sounds a lot like greed. Most of my side wants to be left alone. Unfortunately, in reality, I am not sure what the right’s arguments come down to anymore. Maybe it is time for everybody to jump ship. I did.
I don’t trust the court system anymore. It is not blind if it is political. It is political.
I don’t trust congress anymore. They are not any smarter than we are.
I don’t trust the news. I know, you have found the only trustworthy news and if you know me ,you know that I’m looking at you like you have your fly open.
I don’t trust half of you goofy……. There is a good chance that I don’t trust you.
And now we come to the latest outrage. If we had fought the Volstead Act as vigorously as some of you are fighting this temporary travel ban, we would have never had an Al Capone and the need for a Twenty-First Amendment.
Whew, I feel better. Venting helps, or maybe its the repel of the Volstead act kicking in… I’m not sure but I do know this, a pressure cooker has it’s limit.
