Sometimes I wish that I could go back to my youth and then I think of Napoleon Dynamites’s Uncle Rico and I realize that time travel is just too dangerous to put into the hands of the masses. I would hate to be forced to live with the knowledge that I went back and caused a loud mouth New York real estate tycoon to become leader of the free world. I have seen enough movies to understand that it doesn’t take much and if a butterfly can alter the future, it’s best to leave the past where it belongs.
We just received some bad news and that seems to be happening more often now because of our age.Something that keeps running through my head as I am remembering an old friend that passed away is that time is short. We were mighty once, full of life, and now our bodies are wearing down. There are so many now that are no longer with us and even though our lives took different paths, even though we lost track, we had history. We were young and now we are less. I appreciate those of us that are left behind and I miss those that are gone, and sometimes I wish that I could just go back and hang out for a while. If I could,I would take notes. I would listen and enjoy the moment and understand how precious this time was. I surely would.
Here is another odd thought. Right now is the time some of you will desperately want to return to someday. How much you wanna make a bet? I love time-travel talk.
