Glacier  National Park is without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places in the  United States. We arrived there a few days after they had opened the pass atop Glacier Mountain and even thought the snow had been cleared off the road, it was snowing on the day we made the ride to the top.

No picture will ever show how beautiful Montana is.

When I was stationed in Germany in the mid-seventies, we spent quite a bit of time in the mountains and I have made many trips to the Smokies, but here at these high altitudes, I started having breathing problems that would not go away until we dropped altitude. Starting here, it continued throughout the trip.

From here, our next stop was Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. the drive was beautiful.
